Tis highly likely I'm going to switch to Livejournal, I hate this format.

But I'm not very familiar w/ LJ, I just have an account to join some awesome Kpop and downloading communities.

Should I just post from my "journal" or should I form a community - most downloading sites I know of are LJ communities?

Tri-Angle (Chinese) Single - Review and Download

I must first say I am exceedingly amused by their Chinese names. Jae's and Su's are so off pronounciation-wise....but unsurprisingly, Changmin's is closest lol
* Jaejoong = Zai Zhong 在中 (literally, "in the middle" lol)
* Yoochun = You Qian 有仟 (literally, "has a thousand" but sounds like "has money" or "rich" :P)
* Changmin = Chang Min lol 昌民 (not sure how to literally translate this...prospering people, perhaps)
* Junsu = Jun Xiu 俊秀 (LOL this is a nice name XD both words are some variation on "handsome")
* Yunho = Yun Hao 允浩 (uh, these words together don't make any sense so...yeah)

I really like the original. This one...doesn't mess it up, thankfully.
Their pronunciation is difficult to understand though :-/

I guess it's too hard for them to sing somewhat quickly in Chinese, they totally slowed it down, so it really isn't good :( IDK if BoA is the one who sings her part, but it sounds like frickin Cantonese lol. The pronunciation is...interesting.
The lyrics are really silly, also.

Though their pronunciation is, again, rather poor...since it's a ballad and slow, they didn't exactly mess too much up.

Ahhh yes this one. I had this in my music collection, labeled poorly except for the words Chinese, decided it was absolutely not Chinese, and asked Laura to verify that it was Japanese. She told me it was neither Japanese nor Korean, but rather she thought it was Chinese? Or a mystery language?
Finally after careful listening I realized it WAS Chinese.
So yeah, the pronunciation is poor.

OMSK, this just should never have been made!!!! The engrish!!!!
No review/rating really necessary, it is just frightening. Ruined a perfectly great song with their engrish - in two ways, the actual lyrics make no sense, and their pronunciation is terrible (and yes, I do get to complain about that b/c their pronunciation in One Sweet Day was perfectly tolerable).

The video is also just not good. Jaejoong's hair is THE GHEY. Although Changmin is just adorable.

Miduhyo Vers. 1
The first version takes place at a beach house of some sort hehe. This video is HILARIOUS, totally unintentionally. The shots are all so ridiculous, between Yoochun's car, and the basketball game, and the fricking fruit.
Every shot of Jaejoong is retarded, lol...and they are trying way too hard to be sexy, despite his uber femme hair. Minnie is so cute though! If very elfin (he has gigundo ears in some shots! lol). Xiah is also really cute, though this is so not my fave hair on him.
The most WTF part of this video, though, is THE FRUIT. WHAT IS GOING ON WITH THE FRUIT????

I wasn't sure if this one would be as ridiculous as the first; this one is set on a ... bridge? LOL. But it issssss bwahhaa. OMSK at the poses. I cannot handle it.
The Coca Cola bottle on Yoochun's piano is the WTF moment of this video.
And around 0:57, Yunho does this very odd low voice thing, and it literally looks like he burped or something lmao.

OMSK, how can I ever commentate this video justice haha. It's so epic. The outfits, the hair! gah!
All I can say is you must watch it to appreciate it.
Besides BoA, who looks amazing, everyone looks ridiculous in this one. Jaejoong almost pulls his hair off...but in the end, I'm thinking it doesn't do much for me lol.

ahh idk what to even say about this video lol. It's so ridiculous. Yoochun's shots are ... omsk lol. The shaving? The checking out in the mirror? THE LIPGLOSS OMG lol. bwah! And Changmin is way too adorable, with the cat. It's bordering on stupid. The slowmo intro is also...errr...

The Way You Are
nice concept, hot girl who is a perfect match for all of the members. But, um...DBSK looks horrible in this vid. Not just the hair/outfits, which are deathly frightening. I mean, Jaejoong looks...BAD - as in, his face! Maybe he forgot his eyeliner or something
It says a lot, really, that I actually think Yoochun is best looking out of everyone in this video >_<. I even think his little laugh/smile near the end of it is kind of cute, shinki forbid!
But the absolute highlight of this video is Changmin. He looks SOOOO creepy in this one, with his psycho stalker stare. Seriously, that boy will haunt my dreams now, not in a good way lol.
Lee Yeon Hee looks absolutely gorgeous though, she makes this video worth watching.
And I'm sure many girls would kill to know Su's hair secret - that volume! whoa! how does he do it, that hair defies gravity! If not for the terrible hair/clothes, he would look ridiculously adorable when he puts his face in his hands and gets that confused pouty look.
It's a tragedy, really, that such a potentially EPIC EPIC EPIC video has to be ruined not by the video girl (as is often the case), but by usually gorgeous DBSK members :( Like, seriously, you can have no way of understanding how devastated I am that this video sucks as much as it does

Tri-Angle is DBSK's first album!
Still undecided on how much I like it though...since over half the songs were good but not great, this CD was SO hard to review. I started with a 10-point rating system but I had to switch to 5 points. All said in-between songs (I like but not love) got a 3.5. lol. I now have an abbreviation for such songs, cos writing their reviews (and, I imagine, reading!) got tiring: GBNG

It's also worth noting that, image-wise, Tri-Angle/The Way U Are was one of the darkest periods in DBSK history *cue gloomy music.* Yes, it was a sad sad time. Everyone looked bad in The Way U Are, even Jaejoong with the lion hair. With the exception of Jaejoong, everyone also looked quite frightening in Tri-Angle, esp. Yunho and Yoochun.


CD Review (* indicates recommended!):

1. 믿어요 (Miduhyo) ~ Believe *
With the exception of the English intro, I really like this song. This is one of my DBSK favorites. I suck at categorizing, it's a slower song but not boring, idk if it's a ballad? Either way, thumbs up!

3. Tri-Angle (Extended version, feat. BoA and The TRAX) **
One of my fave DBSK songs! esp b/c I watched the video OVER and OVER when I first got into DBSK.
The song is really good, and highlights all of their vocals really well. It has Mozart's 40th Symphony in it, which is an excellent touch (S.H.E copies that later >_<). BoA's part is awesome, as well.
My only quibble with the song, and it's a big one, is The TRAX's part. I HATE it with a passion. Unlike their other songs where a rappy part or odd engrish might bother me, I can still listen through the rap/engrish, but I CANNOT listen through the TRAX's part, it's torturous. They're all screamy and hardcore heavy rock-y, and it SUCKS SUCKS SUCKS. Rant over.

My lover Susu aka cutest boy on earth, is quite arguably the most talented member of DBSK. The second main vocalist, and the second best dancer, he is so all around amazing (in contrast, lead singer Jaejoong is the weakest dancer, and best dancer Yunho is the weakest vocalist)!

A tenor, his voice is very unique, it's sort of high, and has, well...a very unique quality to it lol. It may take some getting used to, but it is arguably the best voice - *technically* - in DBSK, most well trained, etc. It's very nice though. Especially live. And in certain songs, most notably Anyband songs, it can also sound amazingly smexy. He was originally meant to be lead singer in DBSK, I think...before Jaejoong was added (when it was still Siwon).

Then there is, of course, the looks. I am not sure who I’d consider second best looking, Junsu or Changmin. Junsu can look really, really hot at times (e.g. Last Angel, O Jung Ban Hap), but more commonly really, really, deliciously, scrumptiously adorrrrable (e.g. Step by Step, Balloons…just way too many to name).

His smile and laugh are most definitely the cutest I have ever seen, and I absolutely adore how cute his speaking voice is, and the sheer adorableness of his personality – he takes so much abuse, is so fricking happy and cute and good natured…gah! he makes me sooooo happy and gushy!!!!!

There’s very good reason why he gave Jaejoong a serious run for his money as my fave DBSK member. I mean, it takes a heck of a lot to dethrone the amazingness of my husband!!!! but Su's adorableness is so amazingly epic…

Oh and he also happens to be excellent at soccer (he would have pursued it as a career if not for singing), which gives him huge bonus points in my book b/c I heart soccer players (hello Kaka, [Cristiano] Ronaldo….). And he has a really yummy jawline. And...he has quite the backside for an Asian. Really, lol, I wouldn't have noticed it myself, but after I read it mentioned, he really is quite endowed! haha

I don't worship Junsu in the way I worship Jaejoong, but just thinking about him makes me melt into a puddle of cute overload.

Jaejoongie aka Pure Hotness aka my husband, is the lead singer of DBSK! And it's no wonder either, his voice makes me melt. It's just so beautiful and smooth and rich...I've heard it described as healing, soothing, calming and also as a "vocal orgasm" and I can't help thinking that's so right LOL.

But yeah, it's just so great, I am in disbelief that such an amazing face and such an amazing voice are on one person. I'd love him JUST for his beauty or JUST for that killer voice, I am dumbfounded that Shinki would give them to one person. But yeah...his voice is incredible, and his face...gah. He pulls *everything* off, any color/style of hair (well, maybe except the very early lion hair). He is always beautiful. He also used to be quite muscular, less so now.

And his personality is fricking adorable. He is very motherlike, he likes to cook, and to feed other members. It's the cutest thing. He's always doing caring, adorable things like that - e.g. fixing Yunho's hair, lol. But yeah, it totally kills me that he cooks. He's also a huge bully, especially to Junsu haha.

BUT...apparently he was really really naughty before he became a DBSK member (like, trainee and earlier). He smoked, drank (idk if he still drinks), has a tattoo (TVXQ SOUL; Yoochun has TVXQ MATE - soulmate), and 11 piercings (4 in each ear, I think...also nipple and belly button...ewwwww >_<). I really hope this oddness is all behind him lol.

Real Name: Shim Chang Min
Birthdate: February 18, 1988 (age 20)

The youngest and the tallest member in DBSK, Changmin is the only member as of now who I have gone through neither periods of intense hatred of nor intense obssession with [there was quite some time when I sincerely wished Yunho and Yoochun were not in DBSK! :P].

A tenor, he is the third main vocalist (apparently with the greatest range?), after Jaejoong and Junsu. His voice is ok, I suppose. I don't really love it. Except in Rising Sun. I don't think *anyone* else could sing his part in Rising Sun, it's just too awesome. And he is also good at screaming. I don't really like the screaming though.

As the youngest member, he is sometimes kind of isolated :( There are the two epic, famous DBSK couples, Jaeho/Yunjae and Yoosu...then Changmin. lol. And you can tell he is often in his own world (haha).

I really like Changmin though. I don't have a lot to say about him, you will see, but that's just because he lacks Jaejoong's perfectness (the looks! the voice!) or Junsu's edibleness (SOOO CUTE). He is surely better looking than Junsu, but his personality - while very cute - does not appeal to me quite as much, so he is my #3. But he really is very good looking, and cute. Just not as much as Jae and Su :P.

His love life is quite lacking though, the poor thing. Since he was like 15 when DBSK started...he apparently got his first kiss from Jaejoong? LOL. And was very upset that Jaejoong "stole" this special moment haha. IDK if this is true, and if so, if it is cute or very weird. Either way...on a TV show he has also admitted to watching porn...unbeknownst to him, his mother was behind the scenes watching LOL. I feel so bad for this kid! :P

Yunho is the leader of DBSK, and the best dancer by far. He's a silly one though, he tries very very hard to be super manly and leader like and he really gets rowdy in live performances sometimes haha (in terms of intense dancing).

He's supposedly the weakest vocalist though (but I think he's ok); he sings bass, backup, and...raps. Between his raps and Yoochun's English...*weeps*

At first I really didn't like him, but he's grown on me. The tooth fixing and longer hair really did help too.

And while I prefer Jaejoong with Changmin or Junsu, Jaeho/Yunjae is ok. Hosu/Junho is kind of cute also.

Ok, I'm just gonna put this out there - I will always consider Yoochun a completely pointless member of DBSK. I really do not like him. I've come to accept him, but I do not like him AT. ALL.

He was supposedly raised in the US since 6th grade (until he came back to Korea after being discovered for singing), but I don't believe it. His English accent fluctuates wildly between perfectly fine and crazy Engrish, but the main reason I don't believe it is because half the crap he says in their songs makes NO SENSE or is VERY WRONG (let's make some noise beat. I really wanna touch myself. seven colors make much happiness. [I could go on forever....]).

Also, while he is not ugly per se...his hair is almost always SOOO BAD. And that makes him very ugly. He is definitely the least attractive DBSK member for sure though. I am exceedingly puzzled to read that he is a big playboy and lady's man. Ummm.....

And...Yoosu is kind of an upsetting couple for me, becaues I love Junsu so much but so despise Yoochun. Oh well.
